Sean Grasty and DJ Rikky Rivera, known internationally as Groove Addix have been entrenched in New York City's underground scene for over 20 years. Groove Addix are known for writing and producing songs for some of the most prolific vocalists in house music. They have been chart toppers with a worldwide top 10 Beatport charting tune and multiple number 1 and top 10 Traxsource positions. Groove Addix are also credited with placing 7 original songs in the Traxsource "Top 100 Songs of The Year" landing in four different genres of electronic music.
Groove Addix original songs have been remixed by house music heavyweights like (MAW'S) Kenny Dope also DJ Spinna. Most recently The Addix had their original productions sampled by the UK's Full Intention in the song "Keep Pushing" as well as by Maribou State in their hit song "Mother". Groove Addix works have been signed to some of the most recognizable labels in house music history such as Nervous Records (NYC), Soulfuric (USA) Defected (UK) Stereo Records (Spain) King Street (NYC) and Seamless Recordings (Ibiza) just to name a few.
Aside from their former DJ residency in New York City's Central Park, (Dance Skater Events) Groove Addix have played for Club Heads throughout the United States and Europe at legendary venues and festivals such as The Roxy, Nells, China Club, Hard Rock Hotel (Las Vegas), Club Jazid, Groove Festival (Dominican Republic) The Bump & Hustle events (London) and The Well (part of the notorious Forge Club in Miami. Others include the world famous Nikki Beach as well as the Street Parade "Generator Party" in Zurich Switzerland which is a 3 mile long festival/demonstration that attracted 1.1 Million partygoers.
Although Groove Addix based their music production and song writing style on deep & soulful house music with beautiful vocals and sweet melodies, their DJ sets are something quite different. Thanks to DJ Rikky Rivera's vast knowledge of what it takes to keep club goers on a musical journey from start to finish, a Groove Addix club set consists of high energy Jackin' house with remixes of Disco and Soul classics sprinkled in for good measure. With influences like DJ Sneak, Twism, Todd Terry and the Late Frankie Knuckles, a Groove Addix dance party is truly something to behold!
